Nursing schools in the United States are trying to explore ways in order to increase the number of students that are interested in the nursing profession. It is estimated that United States would need more than one million nurses by the year 2016. This fact was projected by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Hence, it is indeed a challenge for US how they can come up with this number of future nurses without compromising the quality of nursing care each nurse can provide. One of the major fields that would need these nurses, are for the geriatric care or in the nursing homes.
